In line with the Penang State Government’s initiative to develop and promote Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) Malaysia Cybercity in Penang, we are pleased to announce that the conference will be held on Oct 23-24, 2007 in Equatorial Hotel, Penang. The main focus of this conference will be on the development of K-economy, nationally as well as in the State. This event is jointly organized by the Penang State Government. The Star, Global Malaysian Network (GMN) and supported by investPenang and Penang Development Corporation.
This conference will also provide participants an unparalleled opportunity to network with over 300 local and foreign delegates and invited guests from the industry, academia and the government. In addition, a showcase by some of the ICT stake-holders will be held in conjunction with the conference.
The Chief Minister of Penang, YAB Tan Sri Dr Koh Tsu Koon, will deliver a keynote address on ‘Towards a Knowledge-based Economy: The Peneng Blueprint” before chairing a dialogue session on business and investment opportunities in Penang. Captains of the industry, Federal Ministers as well as senior government and university officials have been invited to participate in the panel discussions which will address issues on enhancing and sustaining growth in the knowledge and talent economy amidst a global transformation.
