Community Events

There was a fire drill (I guess someone accidentally trigged the fire alarm) in the office building which Exabytes office located at. Everyone inside the Mayang Mall office building were immediately evacuated after we heard the fire alarm and there is no one left for support.

Our apology if you tried to call our office telephone number between 4.00pm – 4.15pm and there was no one picking up the phone.

Every one wanted to catch a glimpse of the mysterious guest from Google, as well the face of Exabytes CEO! We have frequently seen the username “ksstudio” appearing in webmastermalaysia forum, but we have never got the chance to see him live! What more to say, he is the owner of WebmasterMalaysia forum! Well, this second webmastermalaysia forum gathering held in KL and specially sponsored by Exabytes is the chance for every member to get up close and personal with each other.

The event held at KL Sentral’s Starbucks couldn’t be merrier without the presence of all the invited speakers. Mr Hanson (Malaysia Country Consultant,appointed by Google, Inc.) presented to every one on Google’s latest technologies and innovations! Next was Mr Najib who gave everyone an overview of what Drupal is all about. The final speaker of the day was Mr Gobala Krishnan. He shared with every one on his experience being an Internet home business entrepreneur.

Towards the end of the session, there was this Q&A session where participants got to win Exabytes RM 50 coupon voucher each! All in all, it was great and nice to see all KL member who managed to make it to Starbucks that day!

Community Events

The most awaited Bee Movie Day finally arrived. If you are not aware of what Bee Movie is this, you need to check out this “Ouch! Stung by bees” post! Last Thursday, was another meaningful day for Exabytes as this was our FIRST ever private movie screening which we invited our clients and partners to watch together with our team members. It was indeed a successful event and we are sure every one had a great time! Here are a few snapshots of those happy moments!

Wow, who is the next one! The reigning Employee of the Month is none other than Annie Ong!! Does that name sound familiar to you? If not, check your billing ticket that you send to Exabytes, you will know who is she. Why did the panel of judges select this reigning “Miss Employee of the Month”? I will tell you why…

First, she is the “Legendary Hua Mu Lan“! Every one knows she is Hua Mu Lan, so, judges have no choice but to give her! Just kidding . We regard her as Hua Mu Lan because we think she is a strong and bright girl.

She is also helpful to colleagues and customers. In addition, she is always polite when dealing with anyone.

She is responsible and takes initiative to look after Helpdesk even when it’s already after office hour.

Give her any task, she will be able to complete it on timely manner.

She possesses the ‘never-say-die’ spirit in anything especially when it comes to organizing badminton training.

Guess who? Perhaps you have heard of her when you call Exabytes but you have never met her! This is your chance now to know who is she… Yup, Avian Loh is the Employee of the Month for September! With the traits that she has, even the clients love her to bits!

We love to address her as “Warrior Princess of Exabytes“! No sword-fighting for her in war, but if there is, we are sure she will be a reliable heroine.

She is definitely hardworking and handles her jobs efficiently.

She receives good testimonials and compliments from customers.

She is round-the-clock helpful and able to assist colleagues and clients at any time. (Can call her at anytime of the day! She will be there for you.)

Let’s give a big round of applause to our FIRST ever employee of the month! August 2007 is the first month Exabytes started this appreciation activity. And without any doubt, KM Chow was awarded the first crown! Hey, he is not awarded for nothing. Everyone agrees that he deserves this because…

He is regarded as “A Knight In Shining Armour“! He is ever-willing to help anyone who faces difficulties.

He is willing to stay late to help out on issue, for eg. when one of the US Linux shared hosting servers – Gadolinium is having issue.

He handles the customer’s complaint well and is able to resolve issues efficiently.

He will take accountability on the job assigned to him and show initiative in all the tasks.

He is ever-ready to contribute ideas and possesses positive attitude in learning when projects are assigned to him.

• Assist the Finance Department and Credit Control Division in daily operations
• Assist in the compilation of financial reports, generating of outstanding billings, and other relevant documents
• Assist in liaising and coordinating with internal departments, and other external parties
• Other ad-hoc duties as and when required

Requirements:

• Computer literate and able to work independently
• Candidate must possess at least a Primary/Secondary School/SPM/”O” Level, Higher Secondary/STPM/”A” Level/Pre-U or Professional Certificate in any business field, Commerce or equivalent.
• Applicants must be willing to work in Bayan Lepas.
• Applicants should be Malaysian citizens or hold relevant residence status.
• Preferably non-executives specializing in Finance-General/Cost Accounting or equivalent.
• 2 Full-Time positions available
