1122, another meaningful, and special number for Malaysian Chinese bloggers. The second MyBloggerCon (MBC) Award, took place in Dewan Sivik, PJ on the last 22nd November 208. Exabytes, as the proud main sponsor of this event, has made the event even more joyful by giving out cash and door gifts to the participants of the event. This event was another initiative taken to help develop the blogging industry in Malaysia, and encourage more professional bloggers in this blogging industry.

This prestigious blogger award has attracted more than 1000 bloggers from local and also overseas to register as contestants. The awards consist of variety of blog categories, from tech, movie, photography, music, sexes, fashion, humor, to current affairs and even “self-enjoy” (a.k.a syok sendiri).

The commitees were doing the final preparation before the event.

Many bloggers were excited when they finally could meet each other face to face, not virtually on Internet.

We have snapped of the guests during the free-and-easy session before the award. We wanna shot their photos like Oscar Award’s but unfortunately there was no red carpet.

There were interviews for the bloggers to share couple words for entering the final stage of the award or about this event. Erm… the emcee was gorgeous.

As the main sponsor of this event, the CEO of Exabytes Mr Chan Kee Siak no doubt is one of the interwees.

There is no age limitation in blogging. I just wonder how young these little bloggers really are.

The MBC commitees were yelling in pasar malam style to promote their T-Shirt.

Besides the bloggers, there were some special guests came all the way from a galaxy far far away with their best outfits to support this event as well.

These fellas in famous Star Wars costumes had caused en excitement right through the crowd when they appeared at the venue.They were the members of 501st MALAYSIA-BRUNEI OUTPOST and Rebel Legion Malaysian Legion (RLMO) who specially came to put some momentum to this event.

Here are brief intro of the characters. (From left) a TIE Fighter Pilot, a Clone Trooper, a preganant princess, a Jedi Knight, a TIE Fighter Pilot again and a X-Wing Pilot who looked like a firefighter.

As a Jedi, besides know how to pose, fighting skills is essential. But don’t mess up our booth please.

The guest got opportunity to take group photo with these bizarre dressed friends, by putting a little amount of cash into their donation box.

The guests were out in force at the outside of hall while waiting the award to begin.

8:00pm. The award ceremony began.

Meet Jerry, the chairman of MyBloggerCon. A kinda funny guy with great sense of humor. He was giving the opening speech.

The nabs from far galaxy showed up on stage again.

Mr Clone Trooper was proudly be one of the guests to present the award to the winner.

At first the emcee were having some difficulties to communicate with Mr Trooper.

After that, everyone sharply hit by the truth of the official language spoken among Imperial Army, when Mr Trooper was questioned about the language that he was competent at, and his answer was “Malay”. LOL

Finally, the communication issue was solved and the award was successfully presented. OK, terima kasih manyak-manyak. May the force be with you.

Dejavu? Nope. This guy in casual outfit appeared on the stage twice as he won twice.

This hottie was the winner of The Best Fashion & Trend Blog. Apparently she was well deserved for that.

Being the main sponsor, our boss Mr Chan also presented 2 awards to the winners of The Best Humorous Blog and The Best Commercial Blog.

There were interesting talent shows by the performers from their own blogger community through out the event.

Musical instrumental show. FYI, this special piece of thing is called dulcimer or “yang qing” in Chinese.

A creative remix of the ancient Chinese zither, guqin and Tang poem.

A talent performance by an indie band named “New York City Leave Elegantly”. Kinda artistic name. I direct translate it from their band name in Chinese.

Finally, the event came to the last award, but not really the last technically, as there were 10 winners. It was moment to reveal the winners of The Top 10 Most Recommended Blogs.

The second MyBloogerCon Award finally drawn to an end successfully.
