Gathering and hanging out with good buddies is always a great thing to do in this fast-paced urban life. For bloggers, attending an event which can get all bloggers from the blogsphere to gather together and meet up in person while making new friends really means a lot.

On last weekend, a group of young bloggers from Penang with plenty of vigour organized a blogger gathering event at Paradise Sandy Bay Beach Resort, Penang.

The gathering was named as “What A Bloggiful World”. Interesting, but kinda a mouthful name.

Although the committee of the event is formed by a group of college students, they managed to take initiative to acquire sponsorship from some local big brands such as Digi, Celebrity Fitness, GSC, Paradise Resort  etc and Exabytes to fund the event. Impressive, isn’t it?

The event took place in a cafeteria which is located at the lower ground level of the resort, nearby the swimming pool.

Grand might not the precise word to describe the venue, still it is pretty spacious and the decoration was pleasant.

In conjunction to the sponsorship, Exabytes has participated in the event as exhibitor to showcase our promotion exclusively for this blogger gathering. We have sponsored goodies bag which is filled with lots of freebies from us and also other partners.

Before the event began, our cameraman was busy dashing from one table to another table to snap the pictures of the handsome men and beautiful women.

They were the emcees of the event. Cedric Ang, a energetic and funny young man. Together with him was Minny, a cheeful girl with an easy manner.

The event started with the opening speech from Mr William Tan who is the PR Consultant of Paradise Sandy Beach Resort.

Meet the wirepuller behind this event, Warren Tan who was the chairman of the event committee. He is a true entrepreneur who has already established his own business at very young age. Believe or not? He is still a college student!

After the speeches, one of the sponsors Celebrity Fitness brought some heat to audiences with their.. err, hot stage performances!

Martial art? Kung Fu? Whatever, but for sure they were muscular and tough!

And when our tummy starts growling, we stuffed ourselves with the scrumptious food – buffet style! Look just how long the queue was just to get our hands on the yummylicious food!

The attendance of Yang Berhormat Tuan Phee Boon Poh has added prestige to the event. Perhaps we should just call him as “Yang Berkhidmat” Tuan Phee Boon Poh as he interpreted YB as Yang Berkhidmat during his speech.

And the moment everybody was waiting for.. Quiz & Win session! And here comes another FUN part of the event. None other than the Game Session! The participants were each required to pick a piece of paper with “special missions” written on them. And, they had to do exactly what the “mission” wants them to do – on stage!

The participants were checking their assigned “missions”. And.. they found that they had to….

Imitate a celebrity! And the first “victim” who made the first move was this sturdy lad. Just take a look at his face expression and guess who he was trying to imitate? Tips: a famous Hollywood celebrity.

Common, who does she look like? Keanu Reeves? Arnold Swarchenegger? Nah..  He was trying to imitate… Angelina Jolie. And doing terribly bad at imitating her “sexy lips” but terribly well “tickling” the emcee who tried to keep her straight face!

Act on! This guy was trying to explain to a girl who acted as an old lady who did not know what “blog” is all about. Oh goodness grandma, keep up with the technology already!

1.. 2.. 3.. Action! Now this girl was assigned to act, and boy, wasn’t she good at it! She was asked to act surprise as her room went black while she was surfing Internet alone!

And this girl was assigned to sing a serenade to the guy.. .!

Hahaha. This was another bomb! This guy, was actually trying to teach the guests on how to cook delicious spaghetti – without talking! It was hilarious!

And last but not least, this gal was required take snapshots of 10 different poses by herself! She was really good in this.

And came another exciting part.. the Lucky Draw session!

Again tons of vouchers sponsored by Exabytes, Digi, GSC, Celebrity Fitness and Baptain set off the climax among the bloggers!

It was a great event, but all good things must come to an end. Aww. And so, the event was ended by a closing speech by our dear Warren Tan.
