Well HostingCon 2009 Washington DC has come to an end. The conference boasted packed lectures, over 1, 200 knowledge-hungry attendees, and a 3-day networking opportunities with the hosting industry’s top executives and companies. All in all, HostingCon turned out to be just what we wanted it to be. A nice break from routine, a great networking opportunity, and some insightful lectures here and there from some industry leaders.
Being miles and miles away from home, we can’t shake the “Malaysian” in us that is craving for iced milo, nasik lemak and hokkien mee, so much! Hehe. However, while we’re forcing in another plate of steak and burger into our mouth, let us keep you entertained with all the popular places we visited during our stay in Washington DC. Enjoy!

HostingCon 2009 kicked off today, weehoo!
It’s Day 1 of HostingCon 2009 at Gaylord National Hotel and Conference center, and already the building is jam-packed with people. According to show organizers, there are currently over 1, 200 attendees registered this year, which made it a 10 percent increase over last year! Way to go people!

Introducing SmarterMail’s new exciting feature – Plus Addressing! It is remarkably useful, as it enables you to set up filters for your incoming mail, automatically.
Wondering how it works?
Assuming your email address is myname@example.com and you want to sign up for a newsletter called ACME News. You also want that newsletter to be delivered to a specific folder in your email web interface called “ACME”. If Plus Addressing is enabled then, all you have to do is sign up for the newsletter with the email address below:
myname+ACME@example.com
IMPORTANT NOTE : Folder name is AFTER the username but before the @example.com.
When the newsletter gets delivered to your email account, it will be directed to the ACME folder, which will be created automatically if it does not already exist. No additional steps are required. The whole process is automatic once you enable the feature!
