Stay Fit. Get Healthy. Be Disciplined.

The wait is finally over and last week, thousands and thousands of feet stomped through Malaysia’s longest bridge to participate in Penang Bridge International Marathon (PBIM) 2009!

The Penang Bridge, at 13.5km, is easily one of the world’s longest bridge. And last week, the Penang Bridge was closed to traffic for one whole day to allow more than 19, 000 people from 25 different countries worldwide and all over the nation to run across this monumental bridge.

Exabytes was there to witness the grand affair too. In fact, we were one of the partners of the event, assisting them in setting up and maintaining their portal. Besides that, Exabytes was also given the trust to help them develop their online registration system too.

Collection of runner t-shirt, bib number, etc started as early as 16th November 2009. And being one of the sponsors of the event, we were given the privilege to set up our booth at the PBIM Expo on the 17th November 2009 along with the other sponsors of the event, like DiGi, 100 Plus, Crocs, and AIA to name a few.

Throughout the event, we gave out an absolutely special promotion of 50% discount on our EBiz Gold Unlimited package for participants and supporters who sign up for the plan right there and then. We also had the chance to promote and educate the people on our Angel Program as well.

Honestly, we were quite surprised to know that many of the participants were not well exposed to webhosting and some even had no idea on what webhosting is all about. Lucky for them, we were there to explain to them the basics of webhosting from the scratch and the 101 purposes of a website. (online business, blogs, forums, portals, online galleries, etc)

At about 2.30am, “BANG!”. The gun went off, and the game began.
The bridge was literally covered in oranges as the vast majority of runners started running across the bridge, panting and sweating profusely.
